My role within Lantei was to coordinate and produce the Bid/Tender/PQQ documents to a high level. Responsibilities include the introduction and implementation of all
necessary document version control procedures and processes, as they have not had
anyone processing tenders for over two years. The role requires forensic levels of diligence and an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines.
The role also encompasses essential skills include ability to build relationships, both
internally with the estimating team, design team, commercial team, sales teams and
operational delivery sector to dealing with the client's representatives and the subcontractors tendering for work on the project.
Core Responsibilities
• Production and delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within
customer defined timeframes.
• Coordinate proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, involving contributors
from Sales, Marketing, Operations, Planning, Housing, Remedials/Install and Finance.
• Work with operational managers, mobilisation managers (where applicable)
and customers in quality and process improvement initiatives in order to further
develop partnership working.
• Use effective project management skills to ensure that all information is
received on time, is relevant to questions being asked and in line with the 'win
themes'.
• Coordinate clarification questions, forward to client and monitor responses.
• Ensure proposal documents follow standard formatting and quality standards,
along with implementation of quality standards.
• Provide advice on flow, language, and grammar to content owners.
• Consolidate sections and/or documents developed by other team members into
the required Bid/Tender format.
• Maintain and make available master document sets of Bids.
• Ensure consistent branding for all company specific documents.
• Coordinate the production of information packs for mobilisation/operational
team handovers to include all aspects of the operational solution and liaison on
all key matters on the contract. Work with Project and Contract Managers on
newly won Bids through mobilisation and the initial stages of transition periods
to ensure all elements of the bid are fully understood.
