Steven has 16 years of experience in the construction industry with a focus on strategic oversight of projects. He has managed all project phases including feasibility, master planning, business cases, capital budgeting, planning, design, procurement and construction. Since moving to the UK, he has been working on major schemes in London including the £70 million Hornsey Town Hall mixed-use redevelopment and £59 million London Road Building redevelopment for London South Bank University.
Prior to the UK, Steven worked 7 years as a client-side senior project manager for a large university in Australia. In this role, he delivered major projects up to £30 million and gained experience across a portfolio of 45 new build and refurbishment projects worth £200 million. Of these, he delivered 31 projects totalling £96 million from inception to completion including commercial office, education, hospitality, student residential, research facilities, sports, infrastructure and heritage projects.
Steven built his passion for building and property working in the family business for 8 years, where he developed a strong background in residential property development and later financed and managed his own investment projects. He is passionate about project management best practice and has worked in a leadership role at Fulkers, assisting with managing staff, recruitment, bidding and driving efficiency improvements. He succeeds by building relationships and shows leadership through positive influence and engagement with stakeholders to deliver the client’s vision. Steven adds value through meaningful communication, providing advice on programme and procurement options, cost reduction techniques and space utilisation strategies.
