I am currently working in a family business, we run a small sports & social club. My Mum
and Dad are the directors and I am her personal assistant. I run the day to day aspects of the business, meeting clients for events, full administrative support along with any other tasks
they need doing. I am also their book keeper and liaise with our accountant to file tax etc and
keep our accounts up to date. I am extremely organised and inputed systems in place to ensure the smooth running of the business. I am the first point of call for our clients when
they contact us regarding hall hire and I ensure that this process is stress free and make it as

stock is up to date and complete weekly orders, along with organising extra staff for bigger
events and cleaning staff when needed.

they are all done. The family had a very busy work pattern, I was trusted to make sure their
home life was as smooth running as possible and I worked to the best of my ability to make
sure this happens even it does mean going over what I was expected to do. I take my work
very seriously and strongly encourage the children to use excellent manners where needed.

huge learning experience for me. I went straight into the role with little office experience and was initially trained by the Foxtons team. My training was for three weeks and after the first
week of training I was in the office learning in the field. My roles and responsibilities were:
meeting and greeting new applicants and clients in the office, liaising with vendors/
landlords, in charge of maintenance of the office and the cleaning team, arranged
photography appointments of which I managed the photographers diary for two days a week.
I keep the office to a professional standard. Organised the rotas for office cover for the negotiators within the office / cut keys and worked extremely closely with the two office
valuers and two mangers. This was an extremely important role to ensure the office worked to the best of its ability to allow smooth daily running of the office for all of the team.
I have learnt a whole host of new skills here. A lot of my learning experience has been dealing with different types of people from all kinds of backgrounds. I have also learnt about diary
management, time management and self-discipline.
