The nature of my current job is very admin based, as a cashier we responsible for customer records. This involves booking appointments, filing, taking notes with meetings with customers and customer reports. These records are used to help the customers financially the best way possible. The role requires me to use my computer skills to scheduling on Microsoft outlook and inputting reports. Finally the role requires colleagues to follow data protection policies which is very essential when handling data.
I ensure I deliver excellent customer service to every customer serve. One example was when I was serving an old man on the till, he wanted to withdraw some cash. He looked really uneasy and stressed from his body language. I went out of my way to serve him in a room so he can have a seat and offered him a glass of water, turns out he had walked a long distance and was really tired. I proceeded to ask him open questions about his day and turns out he was having some financial issues and needed someone to have a look at his accounts. I looked at what options were available and was able to process his application for loan to help him while he sorted out his finances.
