I have been involved with various projects whilst in employment with CDL both as part of a team and individually. My main duties as a Senior engineer involved
• Investigating and resolving issues reported by internal clients.
• Maintenance of the SFTP uploads from an automation server to the SFTP server
• Policy amendments for endpoint security products
• Daily checks to server rooms, UPS, Active Directory queries.
• Point of contact for technical issues in the team as well as point of contact if the team leader is off.

I have been exposed to many new technologies during my time at CDL, in 2015 I implemented a LAPS solution for local administrator password policies to complement the McAfee epo system which I implemented in 2014 to control internal disk encryption and data loss prevention along with AV and HIPS rules to control connection isolation rules. These solutions have prevented external penetration testers from compromising internal equipment and networks.

job
HELPDESK ADVISOR
VIRGIN MEDIA (NTL).
I initially joined NTL as a customer services advisor dealing with CATV, Telco and broadband enquiries from new and existing customer, this involved making changes to packages, handling payments and updating the customer account records.
I was asked to move to the High level complaints office after 6 months to help deal with the influx of broadband related complaints from users unable to connect their equipment. I quickly became aware of a workaround to connect the cable modems fairly easily without the requirements of an engineer's visit.
I continued in this role as a technical point of contact for a further 2 years' full time and agreed to stay on in the company for a further 6 months' part time once I launched my own business to assist with the training of new staff members.
