I'm offering
Hi! I am Rebecca, a product design consultant who specialises in design for manufacture. From around the age of five I found my love of product design and all things creative. I spent a lot of my childhood in my parents garage making toys and models. I designed and made bikes for my dolls from sheets of acrylic, plaster cast models to paint, working kites, I even went through a stage of making sets of wings to try to fly.
I set up Blue Dots Design as a product design consultancy to specialise in designing products for manufacture.
My design approach is simple yet creative whilst keeping product viability at the forefront of the project. Combining creative expertise with a vast knowledge of manufacturing methods creates great products. I can optimise a new or existing design concept no matter how far along the design process you are, to ensure your project is optimised for materials and manufacturing methods best suited to your individual product.

job
Industrial Designer
Cycling Sports Group (Fabric, Cannondale, GT BIkes).
I worked as an in-house designer for the parts and accessories (p&a) division for cycling brands Cannondale, Fabric, GT Bikes, and Charge bikes, which all fall under the Cycling Sports Group (CSG) umbrella.
I joined CSG as the second product designer for the p&a division, and helped grow the Fabric brand from a new start up company, to a globally successful one with award winning products. I was the lead designer on hydration, lights, bottle cages and pumps, across all brands, and lastly spent two full years being the head designer for Connondale cycling helmets.
I worked on all stages of the design process from the initial concept generation, through design refinement, prototyping, hand modelling and 3D printing, right through to liaising with – and visiting – factories in Asia and testing first off tooling production components.
