Studio Manager/Creative Artworker
Clarity, Creative Design Agency.
This was a very demanding and challenging position within a highly creative design agency.
I worked closely on brand development sectors including Hospitality, Industrial, Automotive and working with major clients including Parker, TGI Fridays, Jaguar, Mercedes, e-on, Argos, Europcar,
Premier Inn and Whitbread Inns.
My primary role was to manage a team of 15+ designers which envolved coordinating and trafficking the workload from the Account Team through to the creative studio & web Developers.
Working on and continually developing internal processes and analysing current ways of working.
I worked with the Creative Design Team in all aspects of the artwork process from pitch/concept stage
(working on rough scamps) to preparing artwork for press.
Responsibilities:
• Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the studio and the allocation of creative resource for each client project.
• Overseeing set estimates ensuring they were adhered to and didn't go over on time and producing weekly reports to document progress.
• Introduced an effective production process for the Clarity team to deliver control, discipline, cost savings, efficiency and improved quality to every part of the production process.
• Day to day forecasting of studio resource and allocating time for each job.
• Procurement of types of goods such as printing and image library. This involved obtaining estimates, presenting back to AMs with the best option.
• Identifying training requirements and training courses, and the requirement for permanent employees,
based on workload and forecasting.
• Interviewing of freelance staff to add to the Clarity Talent Pool.
• Reduce the over servicing of clients, ensuring projects were completed on time and on budget.

This was maternity cover as a contractor for a fast paced, highly creative and print production design agency. I had been brought on board to be the central channel within the design studio and managed a dedicated team of 14 enthusiastic Designers.
Responsibilities;
• Taking clear detailed briefs and ensuring they were scheduled throughout the design studio.
• Working on the daily work flow structure using scheduling management software.
