I'm offering
Pete has over 25 years experience working in the Advertising/Design industry.
He studied daydreaming, Graphic Design and Photography at Leeds College of Art
before starting his first job as an Art Director at Brunnings Yorkshire where
he began working on brand building campaigns, helping to put the ‘X’ into Halifax.
He moved to London and spent over a decade working at agencies large and small,
including Y&R for high profile clients such as BT, KLM and American Express picking up
national and international awards along the way wearing both Art Director and
Creative Director hats as he went along.
When working in Hammer House in Soho, Pete was asked to design Jonathan Ross‘
letterhead by Ross’ manager who shared office space. This was showcased in
Creative Review proving it‘s not always the biggest jobs that are the most interesting.
In a moment of blinding clarity Pete moved back to Yorkshire with his young
family where his ability to come up with strong concepts, write scripts, draw storyboards
and develop TV & Video campaigns led him to work freelance for all the top
northern agencies initially before doing a 5 year stint at a well known Leeds agency,
working on Fox’s biscuits, Greggs and GHD picking up a few more gongs before
returning to the poachers life once more.
In parallel with his Art Direction he also works as a photographer for Getty Images,
was recently a judge at The Association of Photographers Awards in London
and continues his lifelong quest to find the missing guitar chord.
