My name is Maria P. Iglesias and I am a British and Spanish Graphic & Web Designer with more than 20 years of experience in publicity creative roles.
I have been living in the UK since 2012 and I spent the last 7 years working as a Senior Graphic Designer in the marketing department of BMT, a London-based multidisciplinary engineering company.
BMT is the matrix of other companies spread worldwide, covering different engineering businesses that require graphic design services for which I am responsible.
My work in BMT involves the creation of all the publicity and communications that are produced by the company, including logo design, stands creation for business fairs, corporate branding, web design, and internal & external newsletter mailings, as well as presentations and videos about the company and its capabilities that are presented by BMT’s Corporate executives and members of the Board at events attended by customers and institutions.
Before moving to Britain I lived and worked in Madrid, Spain, where I spent 8 years as web and publicity creator in the Spanish company “Grupo Vips”, which runs several restaurants’ brands and franchises across the country, such as T.G.I. Friday’s, Starbucks, Vips (Spanish cuisine), The Wok (Asian fusion), and Gino’s (Italian style), amongst others.
Other previous milestones achieved at earlier stages in my career as a graphic designer were the development of web pages for different companies such as the Spanish branches of Nintendo and Wanadoo (currently known as Orange).
I am proficient in the use of design software such as the complete Adobe CS 2020 Package including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Dreamweaver including HTML and CSS latest versions and WordPress with Divi Building used on website creation & development. I am also conversant with Animate, Premier, and After-Effects for video production.
I produce all the mailing for my current company with Dotmailer. I also use the complete MS Office Suite, with which I prepare presentations in PowerPoint, on which I am able to create and embed videos and animations, thus providing services to BMT’s Board of Directors that will be shown at the highest decision layers.
I define myself as a team player and a hard worker, always focusing in adding creativity to the jobs I am assigned to. I love working in multicultural environments as I believe it enhances both my technical knowledge and personal capabilities.
