Within my time at L H Cook, I was financial controller and PA/secretary to the managing director.
My duties were: Overseeing credit control procedures for the company, introducing improvements or
changes that are necessary. Establishing and monitoring individual customer/supplier credit limits.
Managing the finances due on sales and contacting our customer base to ensure that balances do not
become overdue. Securing outstanding debts by starting proceedings against non-paying customers
(last resort). Contributing and setting up the implementation of payment system such as chip & pin
card payment and Paypal.
Prepare company accounts, bought ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, Journals,
PAYE payments, sub contractors, monthly account reports, petty cash, chasing outstanding accounts,

I also compiled, managed and submitted (RTI) the wages for weekly and monthly staff, dealt with PAYE

and attended every available course to further my awareness and support towards children with learning difficulties. I also had to attend all staff meetings, parent's evenings and take minutes of staff
