2 Sisters Food Group has a strong presence in poultry, chilled and frozen food categories, as well as being a 'big brand' favourite with Fox's Biscuits and Hollands Pie's. Their main retail and food customers being Aldi, ASDA, Marks & Spencer's, Co-Op. The position as an Interim Financial Accountant was to help the business improve financial controls and processes as well as completing all balance sheet reconciliations in time for the external auditors.
• Responsible for the balance sheet reconciliation process and providing full detailed analysis to ensure control and eliminate risk. As part of the period 11 review, I identified a £2.7m opportunity within the balance sheet, which was corrected before year end.

The position as a Financial Accountant was to improve financial controls and processes, the position as the Management Accountant was to provide accuracy of business reporting. Both roles involved projects which involved a quick turnaround. On an Interim basis I also covered duties of a Financial Controller who had left the business which further developed my skill set.
