I am required to frequently support Office 365 products from setting up folders and permissions in SharePoint to creating mailboxes and distribution groups in the Exchange Admin Centre, handling licenses and more. I also set up VMs, monitor servers and back up services and work with group policies in AD. I have also been doing quite a bit of work with SCCM in regards to building images and handling application and software updates. There is a lot more that I do on a day to day basis in regards to providing support and I like to think of myself as a solid all- rounder in regards to providing deskside and remote support and customer service.

Working there I was learning nonstop about different software and all the aspects of working in a demanding business offering IT solution to all the stores and all the staff in the head office whether it be face to face, over the phone, via e-mail or through Spiceworks and Dynamic CRM. My day to day role usually consists of answering calls on the telephone or ones that have been logged with our IT helpdesk, building new laptops and desktops for all new users and setting them up in Active Directory and on Exchange, setting up and rolling out Ipads and Iphones for all the stores and employees, dealing with any issues regarding the telephone system and a lot of internet connection issues e.g. Releasing leases, locating bad addresses and pretty much getting everyone connected, ordering in new IT equipment, repairing laptops and desktops with damaged parts such as faulty hard drives to cracked screens, dealing with the daily, weekly and monthly backups and many more.
