Creative ideas are what lights up my world. A scamp pad, posh pencil and a brief is my happy place.
I’m passionate about striving to do different, do clever, do something that puts a smile in the consumer’s eye. Because if we’re gonna make people read this stuff we should at least entertain them…
And I can do all that well because I understand ‘brand’. How to communicate it through an idea, a look and feel, a word or two. It’s become instinct. It’s why I like to get my hands mucky in the strategy pie, because I think understanding and being able to input on that kind of thinking makes for much stronger, more finessed creative.
And I not only do the ideas and brand bit, I can design too, and scamp - my hand drawn (too) small shoes and fat fingers are famous - plus I can play with words and create surprisingly good headlines. Which means if I can't work in a team, I can happily work solo and still do-the-do.
It's probably why I've got to work on so many world-class consumer and business brands over the years, on a whole host of platforms and sectors. I've truly become an integrated beast.
