TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST
AVEVA.
I absolutely love what I do here at AVEVA. I get to build relationships with talented, ambitious individuals and help them find their dream job within our market leading company. I am based remotely, but I am also very connected to my team and the people I work with, so my role is a great balance of autonomy and connection.
Since starting in this role, I have specialised in R&D so am responsible for managing and filling specialist and niche vacancies. This is very exciting as each day I get to learn more about the industry, while also showing candidates why I love working for our company. At the end of last year, the team that I am apart of was nominated for several Global Recruiter Awards, and we are attending the ceremony in March. This was a great achievement as we recently merged companies, so had to build our recruitment strategy from the ground up in less than a year! I am very privileged to be a part of this team, and I am grateful to have been able to play a big part in this.

GENERAL MANAGER
Hall and Woodhouse Ltd, Gastro Pub Chain.
General Manager, The Gardeners Arms Ardingly
In March 2011 I was headhunted to join Hall and Woodhouse, a 236-year-old family-run business who pride themselves on the exemplary values they uphold. As the General Manager of a Gastro Pub within their leading concept, I took the business from a £600k turnover to just under £1.2m turnover. I employed a team 25 people and built a prestigious reputation for the business and for myself within the area surrounding our location, as well as within Hall and Woodhouse.
In October 2016 I was personally selected to join a group of 12 of my superiors, including the MD, one of the two family owners, and the heads of several departments within Hall and Woodhouse, to become an Internal Business Coach for the company. I was also asked to join a team of a select few who have been tasked with ensuring the apprenticeship schemes we have in place are robust and operationally fit for the needs of our Company, as well as being asked to join the Executive Chef Team and Stakeholders within our Company to help determine the future food offers that Hall and Woodhouse Managed Houses will be using.
Duties and responsibilities as General Manager:
• Build longstanding relationships with colleagues and customers
• Day to day running of a successful business
• Interview and employ team members
• Train new employees and develop people within my team
• Drive sales, beat budgets and control all overheads
• Implement and maintain the highest of standards, and push for excellence in every area of my business
Duties and responsibilities as an Internal Business Coach and Mentor:
• Build strong relationships with my clients
• Maintain a safe, non-judgemental environment
• Create an environment in which my clients can develop themselves with my support
• Welcome feedback and use it to improve myself and my practice

job
Deputy General Manager, Blubeckers Odiham
The Restaurant Group.
In 2007 when I relocated to the UK, I joined The Restaurant Group; a significant player in the casual dining market. Over the years with them I was asked to move through various businesses of theirs within the Blubeckers chain to help strengthen the teams who worked in each individual site. Once we had achieved sustainable growth in that site, I would be relocated to another site to replicate the success we had achieved.
