I'm offering
I am an Aerospace Engineer and Materials Scientist with a passion for research and language. I find languages, and in particular etymology to be fascinating, in that it unveils the origins of words and the hidden connections between different cultures and their languages through history.
After having worked for a leading aerospace engineering company for the last 2 years in the UK, i have decided to take on a PhD, so as to deepen my tecnical skills and conduct research.

Turbines Manufacturing Engineer
Rolls-Royce Plc.
Established in 1904, Rolls-Royce Plc is a British multinational engineering company that designs, manufactures and distributes power systems. It's the world's second largest manufacturer of aircraft engines.
• Technical project management role looking at developing manufacturing capability of coating processes for
turbine components, to enable meeting present and future engine requirements
o Doubled the CT-scanning throughput for inspecting high pressure turbine blades through analysing
inspection data. This allowed reducing unit cost and enabling delivery of engines to customers.
o Led project to develop a coating manufacturing capability to extend turbine component life. Upon
achieving MCRL6, this capability will represent a cost saving of over £2M/year
o Led project to introduce the coating standard in a new component architecture, capitalising in the unique features of the novel design for improving cost & performance through novel tooling concept
introduction and process optimisation

Robert Bosch GmbH.
Established in 1886, Robert Bosch is a German multinational engineering and electronics company, headquartered in Gerlingen, Germany. It is one of the world's largest suppliers for automotive components.
• Collated defects occurred in manufacturing stage and assisted in determining their cause, including
conclusions of analysis in a production quality standard catalogue for minimising quality escapes & scrap.
• Planned and optimised new layout accounting for internal logistics of the workshop to obtain an increased
productivity, effectively reducing distance travelled by PCB's on the shop floor by 25%.
• To maintain uninterrupted production and be able to implement the manufacturing of new products in the production plan, new tools had to be purchased, and existing ones had to be modified. Placed and managed
orders to suppliers to ensure manufacturing capability for both current and new products.
• For machines to be used, their safety and proper operation had to be ensured. Worked along with several
departments to check safety, ergonomics, working conditions etc.
