As head of the Danish Aquaculture Centre, I managed two demonstration and training fish farms for trout and some warm water species (Tilapia and Catfish).
As independent consultant at senior level, I am specialised as initiator of Service Concepts, Quality & Environmental Management Systems and Supply Chain Management.
During my post as sales and export manager, I was responsible for a sales budget of DKK 65 mill. per year, as well as responsible for implementing the introduction of a computer aided CRM system with the company.
I have visited numerous seafood operations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Faroes, Finland, the Baltic countries, Russia, Poland, Romania, France, Italy, Spain, England, Scotland, Ireland, Israel, Egypt, Lebanon, Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia, China, USA and Canada.
The ability of working efficiently at an international level has been proven through the responsibilities taken for several exhibiting national groups taking stands at international shows for various industries, as well as in several other business related contexts. In addition I have been a speaker at several international conferences covering subjects such as "Environmental Aspects of Seafood Production in Post-Communist Countries", "Too Many Aquaculture Enterprises Still Go Wrong - Why Is That?" and "Training Needs at the Middle Managerial Level in Post-Communist Countries (Warsaw)".

In relation to international organisations, I have worked in close relation with The Nordic Council of Ministers, FAO, UN World Food Programme, the World Bank and the European Union being responsible for various growth and development projects.
Among the jobs personally undertaken should be mentioned: Quality and Environmental Audits, insurance assessment in relation to damage claims, risk assessment, feasibility studies, consultancies, negotiation of contracts, identification & implementation of international projects, project management, as well as quality and environmental management advisory.
From 1997 to 2002 I was part time General Secretary for the Danish Association of Sworn Weighers and Accredited Inspectors under the brand name Uni Inspection – then EN 45004.
In 1998 the Royal Danish Ministry of Justice appointed me Independent Auditor & Assessor at legal court cases involving the aquaculture sector.
In 1999 I was appointed Project Evaluator by the European Union.
In 2000 I was appointed Lay Assessor with the Danish High Court (Vestre Landsret).
In 2000 I was certified as QMS Auditor / Lead Auditor by the International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA) Reg. No. IATCA 2166.
Within QMS, HSE a. o. I have certified (ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007) transport companies since 2001 (external audits); managed the development of a combined quality and environmental system (ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 14001:2004) for a major producer of plastic pipes in the Baltic countries; managed the development of a combined quality and environmental system (ISO 9001:2000 & ISO 14001:2004) for a major producer of sports equipment; managed the development of web hosted quality management systems for a variety of inspection companies, primary food producers – inclusive of aquacultural, agricultural & horticultural farmers - and animal feed producers in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 22000 and 17020 as well as FamiQS, GlobalGAP and ASC. In 2015-17 I have managed the design and implementation of a ISCC/RedCert sustainability management system for 6 major biogas plant and 4 major energy supply companies.
A combined quality and environmental management system for the Polish aquaculture sector was developed and certified by TÜV under my management in 2007.
In 2008 I made a presentation, “Aquaculture Management Systems and Market Requirements - prepared for increased competition” at the Eastern Baltic Aquaculture Conference in Riga, Latvia, organized by Eurofish.
Within the recent years, I have acted as implementation manager for a major project undertaken for one of the world’s largest shipping companies, Maersk Line. The task was an integrated market development and supply chain management seafood project involving working periods in Bangladesh, Oman, Thailand, South Korea, Greece, USA, Germany, Norway and Denmark.
