Web Developer
NHS Wales.
Developing websites for public use for the NHS
● I have been tasked with redeveloping the entire nhs.wales user experience. An
example of my day to day work is; I have added new register and login
functionality. All users details are stored in an SQL database that can be queried against in order for a user to login. If the user has forgotten their password, they
can request a new password to be set. Using AJAX, HTML, Bootstrap and SQL I
have implemented secure password reset functionality where a user enters an
email address associated with the account. A dynamic, unique code is then
generated and added to the SQL database and a link sent to the user's email. If the password reset link matches the code in the database the user is then
allowed to reset the password for that specific account. This also uses
Coldfusion as the server side language.
● Day to day use of Coldfusion, JavaScript, SQL Server, html, css
● Managing websites in Microsoft IIS
● I have introduced to the team, functional and technical specifications. With each
new project I am involved in, we now produce both a functional and technical
specification. Which evolves along with the project.
