Poole Harbour Commissioner - Commissioner
unknown.
Poole Harbour is one of the world's largest natural harbours and is one of the most beautiful parts of the British Isles. In consequence, it is host to many conflicting interests - commercial, recreational, military and environmental.
Poole Harbour Commissioners is a trust, which means it is an independent statutory body, governed by legislation, within the Poole Harbour Revision Order 2012, and Poole Harbour Revision Order 2001.
The Poole Harbour Revision (Works) Order 2015 was made by the Marine Management Organisation on the 12th June 2015 and came into force on the 10th July 2015, giving the Commissioners the opportunity to make major improvements to the Port going forward.
I was fortunate to be appointed as a Commissioner just after the Order and have enjoyed contributing and supporting the implementation of South Quay which was completed in January 2018. This new quay will encourage potential new customers and expand on cruise shipping to Poole.
The Port is an exciting and dynamic business, which annually brings in on average an income of 10 Million pounds. The Port has many plans and ambitions and I am part of a board of 12 Commissioners who with a driven and highly effective management team, directly contribute to its success.

Founder
The Rock Star Awards.
A gateway into the career world, the Rock Star Awards is an event that celebrates the best young talent in Dorset and Hampshire aged 16-26. Since 2012, the awards themselves celebrate and round people into incredible young stars. Companies across Dorset and Hampshire also take interest in the Rock Star awards, and keep an eye on those involved to see where they go next.
The Rock Star awards have given many the boost they need to kick-start their careers into new, exciting directions.
I am the founder of the awards and work with a large variety of sponsors, volunteers and young people to ensure the awards are successful and return a profit which we in turn donate to a chosen charity.
I started the awards as I wanted to celebrate and recognise young people for their achievements, helping them get the connection, experience and self-belief they need to achieve their ambitions and maximise their contribution to society and the economy.
I am solely responsible for the growth, development and strategic plan for the awards and all of the young people involved. The awards have been recognised as a social enterprise and was awarded Best UK Social Responsibility initiative by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation in 2015.

CEO
Rock Recruitment Ltd.
My role as CEO has developed greatly over the last 11 years, having started the business from home and growing it into a 3 Million pound Company. We recruit across the globe, specialising in IT, Creative, Freelance, Temporary and Commercial recruitment.
The business ethics are based on three core values: GROW. EMPOWER. NURTURE. We are an integral part of the growth of our clients businesses as well as our candidates own development. By empowering our clients and candidates we are supporting them to reach their goals and objectives. Another big part of our strategy is nurturing the relationships we have in our community, our team and at every touchpoint within the business. This ensures the continuity of our values both internally and externally which is important we attract and support the right candidates and clients.
I am responsible for 75 employees, made up of permanent, temporary and contract roles across the globe. I am actively involved and responsible for the business strategy, and overall success and profitability of the business.
As part of my own development and in line with our business plan, I have handpicked a very specialist board, with two non-executive directors, one from 'Become' the biggest global creative recruitment agency and one from 'Addison Lee' the fastest growing and largest taxi Company in the UK.
We have a very clear five year vision which begins with the company rebrand and relaunch of a new website as well as the development of our creative division. Our aim is to be the number one creative agency in the South by 2020 as well as having increased our market share in the sectors we currently specialise in.
