I'm offering
An enthusiastic and self-motivated Designer who has developed and
delivered great design outcomes on many large scale projects.
Ability to produce high quality visual communication through design. I
have experience of working on complex projects for both public and
private sector clients.
Maintain the confidence and enthusiasm of colleagues across the
company by providing them with the optimum level of quality work,
guidance and 'hands on' support.
Working closely with Architects, Project Managers and team members
to produce design works of the highest quality.
DEVELOP DESIGN STRATEGIES
I am able to take ownership of a project and implement successful
design strategies, by driving projects forward and outlining how the
design team work together to meet required deadlines for the project.
Once a project is awarded, the lead designer works with the design
team to determine how to plan, allocate and manage workload to
ensure best outcome.
LEAD DESIGNER
I can provide guidance to the team in the day-to-day work. Maintain
Quality, Creativity and Delivery of the projects leading to client and
team and company satisfaction.
I am able to provide critical feedback where needed and encourage
team members throughout the duration of a project.
ABILITY TO PROVIDE;
Crucial input to Management meetings as a representative of the
design team.
Encourage and inspire the design team to produce their best work by
using their full flair, experience, resources and talents.
Chair a weekly design meeting to maintain team connection, share
progress of current tasks, prevent obstacles, solve issues and discuss
ways of improvement.
Conduct One-on-one meetings to evaluate team members for their
performance and productivity and discuss needs and goals.
Effectively communicate and develop a team by providing clear
direction for upcoming priorities.
Develop and implement new processes, which will lead to greater
efficiency.
Manage a detailed design programme and maintain documentation
records in a clear, concise, standardised process.
Work closely with and support estimators, project managers and
purchasing to ensure a collaborative strategy and best outcome.
Maintain records of all variations within a project. This is vital in order to
reduce the risk of exceeding the budget and reducing the margin.
Maintain a positive working relationship with work colleagues, clients,
external consultants and manufacturers.
Willingness to attend site visits to best understand design intention to
optimise best construction outcome. Maintain regular contact with
project manager and client to ensure quality of work is maintained.
I feel that I can provide input and support on factory selection as I
have a strong understanding of the planning and production
processes within a manufacturing company. In my previous job of
eight years as a production planner, I was responsible for the planning
and smooth running of production. Providing workload to a
manufacturing team. Attending daily meetings with management,
purchasing, factory foremen and outside suppliers of materials.
