Matthew has worked with brands such as Sony Playstation, Peroni (Nastro Azzurro), Surface to Air (Paris), (David) Bailey, Dazed & Confused (Japan), TOPMAN, All Saints and ASOS to create content, experiences and product.
More recently Matthew has worked developing brand strategy, brand names and naming structures, TOV and brand values, and content and copy with agencies such as Commission Studio (London), Contagious (Edinburgh), Unthink (Dublin), and Studio Make it Work. Matthew also regularly collaborates with Jason Moses (Yard NYC) and Jamie Delaney (RSA films).
Matthew graduated from Central St. Martins with a BA in Fashion Design and Marketing in 2004 and received his MA from Birkbeck College, University of London. Matthew’s PhD focused on ‘structures of feeling’. His first book, The Left Behind: Working-Class Men in Post-War British Culture, will be published by Routledge in 2020.
