My main areas of work and interest are Business Intelligence development on Microsoft sql server, BIML, and project and people management. I have in-depth experience in delivering in the intersection between technology and business, and have a strong background and experience in project and team management, coaching and mentoring.
My strong technical knowledge, combined with always keeping myself up to date on new technology, and my MSc in business administration have often, made me a first choice when designing solution proposals to potential and existing customers, and I have hence in most cases been the technical part of the presales effort, heavily involved in translating the business needs into technical solutions designs and POCs.
Besides my deep knowledge of BI and SQL server and my capability to conquer any database and data related problem, I have a good insight into self-service BI tools as Qlickview, Targit and PowerBI, and their use in a BI project. As a result of my understanding of all the tools in the toolbox, from custom developed .net to the frontend tools and SSIS / SSAS / SSRS I am able to choose the best suited tool for the job and make them complement each other to build the best possible solution. In conjunction to the Microsoft tools, I am also well wandered in building meta-driven ETL solutions using BIML.
I am a firm believer in knowledge sharing and contribute actively to the SQL community, besides also instructing Microsoft SQL Server and Azure courses.
