As Chief Executive of The Royal Academy of Sciences and Letters the goal
was to lead a secretariat to help the board and 500 Academy members with
the ongoing tasks of the standing committees and handle administrative
functions that supported the interests related to the Academy both internal and external. My goal was to renew the Public Identity of the Academy founded in 1742. This was done by renewing the digital identity of the Academy, founding a Young Academy and by introducing a range of public lectures broadcasted online. The Royal Academy Lectures in Humanities and Social Sciences, The Nobel Laureate Lectures and finally The Carlsberg Foundation Distinguished Lecture with Stephen W. Hawking.
