Store Manager
Vaporized CCHG.
Store Manager, Leading a team of five members. Successfully taking a Tier three store and moving
it into Tier two, In my first three months of employment. With the changes and improvements that I
implemented, the entire store dynamic changed. As a direct result over this time period, the store saw a
sales increase far above that projected based on the pervious twelve months of sales. This was achieved with a balance of training using personal experience and allowing the team to breath and show their full
potential thought being understanding to their needs and working with them in terms of both personal
requirements and professional ones alike.
Very quickly in this role I have identified potential areas of improvement for the business and have strived to have them implemented. The most successful of these was to run an advertising campaign in the local
areas that were not aware of the stores location. The basis for this was built thought conversations with
customers that were signing up to the loyalty scheme that were from further afield. With this information
I worked along side the regional manager and head office to design the campaign that consisted of the company's marketing team spending time handing out leaflets in the desired locations and bus stop
poster adds in those areas also.
The other key reason for growth and increased repeat custom was using one on one training in order to improve the overall customer service experience as when I entered the store this was something that was
lacking. Adding value to sales by spending more time with customers and following a custom guideline for understanding the customers needs though a series of standardised questions that quickly identify
the customers needs. And then using this information to assess the customers knowledge and apply the
correct amount of learning so the customer left feeling satisfied with their purchases and having built
trust with the team as result.
At the end of my first full quarter as store manager, the store finished 1st in the company KPI board,
being the only store in the company history to achieve a 100% score across all areas.
Day to day managerial duties include; Cash management and banking management, Full weekly stock
audits and counts, Weekly staff coaching sessions, Writing Rotas, staff hiring, stock movements too and from warehouse, store weekly sign off, merchandising of shop front, staff training, compliance
management, store standards, KPI management, risk assessments and general health and safety
management.
